Barkley the Eurasian Eagle Owl
Barkley is a new member of the team and our largest owl. He is a gentle giant with a magnificant wing span of almost 2 metres.
This Owl costs approximately 100zl per month to feed and care for, by sponsoring him you provide enough food for a month. 130zl covers food + vitamin supplements, 180zl covers everything we need to give him a comfortable life.



Eurasian Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo)
Appearance
The Eurasian eagle owl is a species of eagle-owl, a type of bird that resides in much of Eurasia. It is also called the Uhu and it is often just called the eagle-owl in Europe and Asia. It is one of the largest species of owl. Females can grow to a total length of 75 cm, with a wingspan of 188cm.
Food
Mostly a nocturnal predator. Predominantly, they hunt small mammals, such as rodents and rabbits, but also birds and larger mammals.
Habitat
Eurasian eagle owls have been found living in almost every climatic and environmental condition on the Eurasian continent, excluding the greatest extremities and is one of the most widely distributed species of owl.
How long do they live?
Eurasian eagle owls are relatively long-lived, typically reaching 20 years in the wild and up to 60 years in captivity. So hopefully our owl will be around for you to see for most of our lifetimes.
