Hawk Talk Walk

Get up close and personal with our raptors! Learn about the art of falconry with these spectacular predators, find out about their habitat, plus the opportunity to handle the birds and watch them take to the sky under the supervision of your guide. Enjoy an interactive falconry experience, morning or afternoon, with our birds of prey. We offer an engaging and uninterrupted experience with the dedicated participation of an experienced falconer. Whatever your depth of interest we promise you a memorable experience.

• Located a short journey from Krakow, Poland, we can pick you up from your accommodation and take you out to the surrounding countryside for a trip you'll never forget.

Hawk Walk

Join us for a hawk walk through the beautiful countryside surrounding Krakow. The walk takes up to two hours with a Harris Hawk and you'll get to see how the bird flies in its natural environment and follows us as we walk through nature. We fly the birds free so you can expect to experience:

• The birds' natural behaviour

• A close encounter with an impressive hawk in flight

• Having the Harris hawk fly to and from your gloved hand

• The hawk follows us through the countryside.

• Plenty of photo opportunities

During your time with us we will instruct you on how to handle and fly these very intelligent birds of prey safely. You can also take as many photographs as you like, or we can take them for you.

An example of an experience day’s activities

Full and half-day experiences follow a similar agenda, the full-day experience covers the various activities in more depth. The only difference in the agenda for a full-day is that we break for a lunch, which we can arrange for you.

Meet and Greet

We can collect you from your accommodation and introduce ourselves to each other over a cup of tea or coffee. Which will include a conversation about the day’s plans and events, where we also find out more about your interest in the birds and personal preferences, so that we can tailor your day accordingly.

Handling

We then move on to get you accustomed to carrying and holding the birds on a glove. Our falconers will bring a variety of birds to you to see and hold yourself.

 

Hawk Walk

Many people find that this is a very exciting part of the day. Having familiarised yourselves with handling the birds, and feeling confident, we take a Harris Hawk out and fly it free as we walk through some stunning local natural scenery.

During this time you’ll experience much more than seeing bird displays and you'll learn about the birds flight and natural behaviour.
